“Seattle Startup 100″ Goes Live!

Seattle Startup 100

It’s June 1st which means one thing: The ‘Seattle Startup 100’ is live! This comprehensive list of Seattle’s startups is based on a not so top-secret algorithm designed by Seattle’s very own SEOMoz, the world’s most popular provider of SEO software. We originally approached Rand Fishkin (CEO/Founder of SEOMoz) for SEO advice and the idea of a top-startups list came up. Quoting Rand, “We’d be happy to sponsor; think it’s a great move.” After a month of late night e-mails, filling out data forms and free lunch meetings…we owe a big thank you to SEOMoz and the team behind this (Rand, Kurtis, Jamie & Derric). Now go and check out the list:

Check out the ‘Seattle Startup 100′!

Don’t see yourself on the list? That’s okay! We’re planning on releasing a full list of startups. Make sure you submit your startup for July!

Love this list.  Wondering if we should consider a max size for companies on the list or maybe keep a separate list for those who have graduated beyond startupdom?

Great feedback! Working on an improved version for July 1st, including categories ;-) Stay tuned.

Great list. However, several of these companies shouldn’t be categorized as startups. Perhaps we need a list that can be ordered on various dimensions such as Financing (Bootstrapped, Seed, Series A, Series B+), Employee size, Revenue, etc.

Great suggestions. I’ve added this to our ‘to do’, though we are planning on categories and employee size by July 1st.
